Queenslanders Rolled on Down with Invictus
As part of Invictus Australia’s partnership with Bowls Australia, we were pleased to offer this wonderful opportunity for members of our Defence community to participate in the sport at a local club in Toowoomba.
Bowls is one of the most popular sports in Australia and it’s easy to see why. It’s a sport for all ages and abilities, there are regular competitions and great social connections on and off the green.
We held our very first event for the South East Queensland region on Sunday 5th March with a mix of current and former veterans, and their families joining us.
With over 50 participants registered on the day, they enjoyed a quick coaching session from Micheal Sorrensen, followed by some social games on the green. We finished up with a BBQ hosted by Club Toowoomba.
Our families really enjoyed the day and we have had some wonderful feedback:
